Our work
Strategy and Coordination Meetings
Members of the Coalition regularly gather informally as governments and in consultation with other stakeholders at Strategy and Coordination Meetings.
These meetings are often held in parallel to conferences and intergovernmental meetings relevant to Internet freedom as well as in specific countries, to coordinate viewpoints, share relevant information, and discuss strategies to advance an open Internet in each context. Steering Committee Calls
The 2024 Chair of the FOC, the Netherlands, is assisted by the Steering Committee (formerly Friends of the Chair), a group of FOC members currently comprising Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Ghana, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The group provides support to the current chair to assist with the Coalition’s diplomatic work, preparation of the periodic FO Conference, and to ensure continuity from year to year.
