Open Call For Applications to the Freedom Online Coalition’s Advisory Network

We are pleased to announce an open call for applications for the fifth cohort of the FOC Advisory Network (FOC-AN), to serve for a 2-year mandate from 2026 to 2028.

The FOC-AN serves as a key mechanism for the Freedom Online Coalition (FOC) to engage regularly with non-governmental stakeholders in the field of digital technologies and human rights. It is an independent platform for multistakeholder dialogue which provides advice to FOC governments on the work of the Coalition, organises multistakeholder collaboration around FOC activities, and explores possibilities for cooperation to advance human rights online. To learn more about the FOC-AN, please consult the FOC-AN’s Terms of Reference.

The fifth Advisory Network cohort will be selected through an open application process administered by the FOC Support Unit, guided by considerations including stakeholder group balance, gender balance, geographic diversity, commitment to the values outlined in the FOC foundational documents, relevant expertise, and expected contribution to the work of the FOC-AN and the Coalition.

Applications from individuals and organisations based in the Global South are highly encouraged. Please note that participation in the Advisory Network is voluntary, and membership is open to non-governmental stakeholders only. Applicants may apply to serve in their individual capacity or as a representative of their organisation.

Interested individuals and organisations are now invited to apply through completing this form. The call will remain open until EOD Sunday, 10 May 2026. Applicants will be notified of the review outcome in June.

If you have any questions on the application process, or require more information about the work of the FOC Advisory Network, please contact the FOC Support Unit at info@freedomonlinecoalition.com.
