In this introductory post, Working Group 3 is launching a blog series analysing emerging themes in privacy and transparency. The Group outlines three main activities going forward: analyzing emerging issues, defining transparency, and addressing policy and research gaps. These activities build on the findings of WG3’s report on government and company transparency published last year. This blog series is a way to engage with the broader community of people working to encourage companies and governments to be transparent in a way that empowers individuals to exercise their rights freely and safely online.
