On Thursday, April 28, in San José, the government of Costa Rica – the current Chair of the Coalition – held an official Launch event for the 6th Freedom Online Conference. The Conference, the first ever to be held in Latin America, will take place in San José, Costa Rica, on 17th and 18th of October.
The Launch, aimed primarily at the diplomatic corps and the press, was hosted by the Minister of External Affairs of Costa Rica, Mr. Manuel A. González Sanz, and included statements by Minister Sanz and Ms. Angelica Chinchilla from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications, and a presentation by Lea Kaspar from the FOC Support Unit.
